I like how we talked about roles in class today. There are 8 kids in my family and the roles definitely got switched around a lot when I was growing up. The one that stood out to me the most was my relationship with my older brother Quentin. Our relationship changed a lot when we both grew up a bit. ;p When we were young, he always loved to tease me and I hated it! He and I fought sometimes, but more than anything he just teased me and I never really felt like we were super close. Well when I moved out of the house and came to BYU-I, he changed his tune. Every time I would go home for a visit, he would be so excited to see me, and would even get a bit sad when I had to head back to school. It was like a switch flipped and he and I became much closer after I moved out of the house. :) It's been fun for me to move out and come to school, and then to have the family get so excited to see me when I go home for a weekend visit. I have decided that if you want to know how much your family really loves you, leave them for a little while and then visit them again. They'll show you how much you were missed. :-) I know this isn't true of all families, but that's how it worked in mine. ;)
